Spiky Dave (born June 24, 1976, Whittier, CA) was raised by coyotes in the high desert of Southern California until he was 16 and ran away from home. A high tech grifter, he charmed his way through the ranks of multiple Silicon Valley startups posing as a Software Engineer, Product Manager and Software Architect.
Having accomplished everything he intended to do in life at the age of 23, he blasted his way out of California and into New York City on March 10, 2000, the fateful day of reckoning for the Nasdaq as the needle pricked the dot com bubble. Coincidence?
5 years later he abandoned the startup games for the safe haven of a global media conglomerate and has since disappeared into the machinery of entertainment. This gave him A LOT more time on his hands that he’s used to devote to many other pursuits and now sits at the center of a Venn Diagram at the intersections of high tech, industrial music, body art, BDSM, neopaganism, experimental psychology and jackassery.
He currently makes his home in alphabet city, only leaving the boundaries of 1st Ave., 14th St., Houston St. and Ave. C when absolutely necessary.
